History of the Journal

Founded in 2022, the JMCFI Journal of Criminal Justice Education was established to fill a critical need for a Philippine-based scholarly outlet that highlights contemporary challenges, empirical research, and pedagogical strategies in the criminal justice field. Since its inception, the journal has served as a trusted platform for emerging and seasoned scholars to contribute to the evolving discourse on law, justice, and institutional development.

Publication Frequency

The journal publishes issues once a year (every June). For now, the journal does not collect any fee for article access, submission, and review.

To ensure long-term digital preservation and accessibility, the JMCFI Journal of Criminal Justice Education is integrated into the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) archival systems.
