Submissions
Author Guidelines
The Journal of Engineering Studies and Innovation (JESI) welcomes submissions of original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical notes in the field of engineering. To ensure a smooth and efficient review and publication process, authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines when preparing their manuscripts. All submissions must follow the IEEE format/template.
1. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the JESI submission portal.
- All submissions should be in English and formatted according to the IEEE template provided on the journal's website.
- Authors must ensure that their manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
2. Manuscript Preparation
2.1. General Formatting
- Document Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or LaTeX format.
- Page Layout: Manuscripts should be prepared in double-column format using the IEEE template, with A4 paper size.
- Font: Use Times New Roman, 10-point font.
- Margins: Set margins to 0.75 inches on all sides.
- Line Spacing: Use single line spacing throughout the manuscript.
- Page Numbers: Do not include page numbers or headers/footers in the manuscript.
2.2. Structure of Manuscript
- Title: The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the manuscript.
- Author Information: Include the full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors. The corresponding author should be clearly identified.
- Abstract: Provide an abstract of 150-250 words that summarizes the research objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
- Keywords: Include 3-5 keywords that accurately represent the content of the manuscript.
- Introduction: Present the background, objectives, and significance of the research.
- Methodology: Describe the research design, methods, and procedures used in the study.
- Results: Present the findings of the research with appropriate use of tables, figures, and graphs.
- Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss their implications, and compare them with existing literature.
- Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and suggest future research directions.
- References: List all references cited in the manuscript using the IEEE citation format.
3. Citation and References
3.1. IEEE Citation Format
- In-text Citations: References should be cited in the text by a number in square brackets, e.g., [1], [2], [3].
- Reference List: All references should be listed at the end of the manuscript in the order they appear in the text.
3.2. Examples of Common Citation Formats
