Peer Review Process
The Public Administration and Governance Studies Journal (PAGSJ) employs a double-anonymized (double-blind) peer review process, in which the identities of both the author(s) and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to ensure impartiality and objectivity.
Upon submission, manuscripts are first assessed by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned editor to determine their fit with the journal's aims and scope, originality, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are assigned to at least two independent, qualified reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise in public administration, governance, or public policy.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, policy relevance, and ethical compliance. Authors are notified of the editorial decision (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject) following completion of the review. Authors submitting revised manuscripts are given a reasonable timeframe to address reviewer comments, and revised versions may be sent back to the original reviewers for verification.
PAGSJ is committed to a fair, timely, and rigorous peer review process consistent with international standards of scholarly publishing.
